I love to create art because it completes me. By the simple act of expression I release the voice that is hiding from within.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love technical problem solving art. I love painting a disaster then fixing it in my eyes. Sometimes I have a plan and vision but once I start it rarely ends up as I imagine. It's a journey sometimes to a familiar place but more often I discover a new landscape. I love experimenting, I may start certain paintings with a similar process but then I take a left turn and keep going. I also love doing formless abstracts but for those paintings always seem to have order in the end for them to work.
Where do you find inspiration?Everything and everywhere. I might be as simple as I'm in the mood to paint . I might be happy and positive I might be pissed off and frustrated. But It takes energy to paint. Of course I love nature and geometry and architecture and fashion and color. But I'm also inspired by the power of the human spirit. I am often inspired by the history of art and artists.
What would you do with $25,000?In a practical way the majority would go into paying off my home loan. It would take some of the pressure off and that would give me a break from working 2 jobs for a few months. Every bit helps ❤️
