I love to create organic hard edge abstract paintings and drawings that explores the duality between subconscious and conscious markmaking, and is a record of how my mind navigates chaos and control through a system where chance and choice interact to produce emergent order.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through a meditative practice where my subconscious is allowed to create associations through chance within movement and material, and in the discover of surprising forns through the exploration of tension between positive and negative space. Inspiration also comes from things like dream spaces, the cosmos, liquids, cymatics, graphic design, optical illusions, light refraction, shadows, an much more.
What would you do with $25,000?I would be able to set up a real studio so I have a place to consistently produce new work.
