I like to create figurative sculpture out of welded metal and occasionally other materials, such as concrete, I like the contrast in using different material materials.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in many areas, just people in general. I like creating people out of a strong material such as steel and concrete. I had a lot of strong female influences in my life, so I tend to create female figures out of metal symbolizing the strength..
What would you do with $25,000?I would do several things with the money I would buy some tools I need. I need a better ventilation system for health reasons.. I would like to set up areas to have workshops. I would love to teach younger students that would love to get into making art, welding and sculpture. At 72 years old, I can’t do this forever. I would love to pass on the craft and the inspiration..
