Art is a means of reporting on the beautiful and perverse without adhering to one particular biased narrative.

I paint mostly abstract and abstract figurative work. I am currently working on a series of paintings The Body Organic. This series explores human temporality. I have started using charcoal and acrylic together. I have recently completed three large scale painting over 8 feet in width. I love the physicality of working at this scale. I mostly enjoy immediacy and improvisation in my abstract explorations rather than being prescriptive and overly intentional.
Where do you find inspiration?I live near two beautiful rivers in northwestern British Columbia Canada. Walks there inspire my mark making and provide a peaceful space within myself to be open and responsive to the muse however it may present.
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay some bills and buy some much needed art supplies. I would look for art residency opportunities to learn more about printmaking. A small vacation to visit major and independent galleries in Europe to appreciate their collections and promote my work where possible.
