Art is my process of visual and psychological exploration, healing, and joyous expression of both my individuality and collective humanity.

Carving, photography, painting, printmaking, pyrogryphs, sculpture. For me the idea is more important than adhering to one medium. From the beginning of my artistic pursuits, I was enamored with the magic of photography, and the art I saw in museums and galleries. Though my mother taught me to draw at an early age, it was the cameras, lights, and lenses that first pulled my heartstrings. By sixth grade I was making films. Yet in the decades that followed I explored a variety of media.
Where do you find inspiration? All around me! Nature, humanity, psychology! Paintings graced the walls of my childhood. In addition to the art, our family living room housed two grand pianos. On the second floor, my mother converted a bedroom into her painting studio. In the basement my father kept a woodworking studio, my brother set up a pottery studio, and I set up a darkroom. Each evening at the dinner table we discussed the day’s events, politics, philosophy, art, and the antics of four sons. Inspiration everywhere!
What would you do with $25,000?I will make every effort to pay this $25,000 forward. Making purchases from emerging artists and small galleries; donating cash to art museums and community art organizations. And with some of the funds I will produce limited editions of some of the images, collages, and digital paintings I've created; and then donate some of these prints to public collecting agencies. Furthermore, I could pay for the subscriptions that help me to be an artist, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
