This is difficult to answer, I make a lot of things. Our house that I built in Colorado is by far my biggest "art" piece. LOL. Art invokes and flows with necessity and the journey; it's not always just about interesting things to look at. Sometimes art is drawing a smiley face on the foggy window or a really pretty "stack of dimes" on an aluminum weld. Art can and should be...everywhere.
Where do you find inspiration?I love patterns and mother nature is the best at showcasing a beautiful, mathematical, and "fractically" beautiful planet. Sometimes I'll just lay on the forest floor in the mountains and just observe. It's quite astonishing. Tiny caterpillars and double rainbows, man! Mr. Depp and Hunter S. didn't need that suitcase in Vegas, they needed a microscope lol!
What would you do with $25,000?Once I finish building our shop/garage and we have an actual garage door...I'm going to host art and metalsmithing classes for our little mountain community. Unfortunately, I've lost many friends to addiction. I'm going to create a safe space for learning a cool new hobby that doesn't involve alcohol. $25k would allow that to happen now.
