I create art to express the emotions I carry; my own, others’, and the moments that never had words.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is black pen drawings, filled with small hidden details, symbolism, and layered meanings. I try to create art in a way that every person interprets it differently, depending on what they need from it. Many people cannot express their feelings through words, so I want my art to be their voice. I would call it puzzle art, art that lets you feel the emotions you cannot express.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in emotion, my own and the feelings I pick up from others. As an empath, I’m moved by energy, unspoken pain, joy, silence, and the moments people often hide. Those feelings become the stories I turn into art.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were given $25,000, I would use only what I truly need around $500 to make prints of my artwork so I can give to others so they may be experienced. I do not create for money, and I do not desire wealth. Art, to me, is about connection, healing, and giving people something they can feel seen in. I would return the rest to The Art of Elysium’s Salon, or have it given to emerging artists who need support to create, grow, and share their voices with the world.
