My artworks are mixed media collages. Through it, I explore the meeting point of biblical scripture in its titles and vibrant, color imagery
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Through my surrealist style, and the use of mixed media-collages, I create imagery that transforms the timeless words of biblical scripture into visual experiences that speak directly to the soul. Viewers connect with these art pieces because it’s an invitation to spiritual reflection, quiet contemplation and deeper, more personal relationship with scripture. Layered with symbolism, the images also open the space for dialogue around social issues and to explore their beliefs and spiritual quest.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, in the biblical scriptures, and in my everyday interactions with the world that I live in.
What would you do with $25,000?I would go on a mission trip to an orphanage in the Dominican Republic that is supported by a social network group that I belong to. Another portion of the prize would be allocated to the Set Free Organization which works in India rescuing children from the labor mines. Another portion I would invested in buying art materials to continue creating artwork.
