I can be alone in my thoughts. I can process my world in a personal creative way. I love the smell.

I love cutting negative spaces from existing and set aside work. I love good titanium scissors. I love glue and Yes paste. Layering is fun in my work with unrelated pieces joining together to begin something new. I like printing with linoleum because I enjoy the negative spaces created by reduction. I like the art to tell new stories.
Where do you find inspiration?Primarily music and the state of the world whether positive or challenging. I guess I layer those two components to create work that tries so hard to speak and have a voice. It’s a daily struggle to find a voice. Old works, like old friends pop up to help with inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?I’ve never been asked to answer that. I need no materials. I have a studio space. At my age of 75 I realize how much I don’t know and how much I’ve missed. There are so many inspiring Artists that I would love to learn from. So I would see this money doing double duty supporting a teaching Artist, while supporting me in my creative quest. I would go to France and study with Bernice Corin, or go to New Mexico and study with an indigenous artists . So much to learn, so little time.
