Making art is my vehicle to discovering what my life means. The whys and the motivations that are subtexts of my actions are illuminated.

I work in multiple mediums because they are all necessary for me to express myself. I can't say which medium or type I like the best. I need to use them all. Together they are all a continuum. Each would be lacking without being able to be bounced off the other without the other. When I am absorbed within each process that is my favorite. It doesn't matter if it is painting, making assemblages, objects, sculptures or installations or the jewelry. It is the process that is my favorite.
Where do you find inspiration? As a boat cuts through water it creates a wake behind it. I feel that is what we do in life. It is the process of delving into ramifications of everyday experiences that is the fodder for my expression. Could be actual physical remnants, panoramas, memories, a person, a feeling, an emotion that needs some exploration. But most importantly this all is happening within the subconscious. I am unconscious of the why or the what or the from where this inspiration may have originally emanated.
What would you do with $25,000?I need to build a painting studio. I bought this house here in order to save my work beyond a landlords reach if I were to die. I have filled up my house with my artwork. I am in need of a studio space to be able to paint year round. I paint outside now. But once it gets cold I have to stop until the spring again. Also I would like it to enough space to have storage for the finished pieces.
