My favorite things to photograph have to be moments and the people in those moments. The reason I’m mainly found in the underground punk scene is because those moments are special, they are pure subculture. When you take photos of the people who go to shows in backyards of people houses, you’re photographing the people who really want to be in the scene, your capturing the mouthpieces of the scene.
Where do you find inspiration?In myself, I’ve always subscribed to the idea that taking inspiration from someone else is idiotic. I think this because you aren’t them, if you take inspiration from them then you’ll end up with work that is spiritually them. It’s not you anymore, you’re signing their signature on your work for free. Hence why I shoot what I want and how I want.
