I love creating art because it gives me a way to hold onto things that would otherwise disappear—memories, words, fragments of where I come

Mixed-media work rooted in Arabic calligraphy is what I love most. I take words and transform them into rhythm, texture, and movement creating pieces that carry memory, identity, and emotion beyond language.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in language, memory, and everyday cultural moments. Arabic phrases, music, and patterns from Levantine life. Living between cultures, I’m constantly inspired by tradition and modernity and how identity evolves over time.
What would you do with $25,000?It would create space, for stories, for reflection, for connection. I will use it to create more art pieces that invite people to feel, remember, and reconnect with themselves and with each other.
