.art that reflects indigenous rooted thought...and it's relationship to modern day cultural social and political issues..how they are connected.. intertwined and interwoven..from plain pencil drawings to recycled cardboard stone textured art installations. usually incorporating the language and metaphor symbolism of ancient glyphs as part of the communication as I've have learned in my research and analyzing understanding of nature's cycle
Where do you find inspiration?..my inspiration comes from everyday living .current issues I face personally or I examine socially influenced from events wanting to express resistance creative ways ...it also is important to be a voice in educating the beauty of my cultural values perspectives retaing and reintroducing forgotten general knowledge through my art presentations..always emphasizing the background of a stone history..a concept of flower or existenced based on nature ..and color..the prism reflected in indigenous
What would you do with $25,000?..create more art of course..,& maybe rent toward a work space or on a larger scale installation project and regular place to compile and create a place that I can continuously present this learned story of my ancestors to this next generation of especially youths interested in the arts..this has been my life body of work interest...I've not really had a studio. studio..which I know an artist doesn't really need to be an artist..in the 70s I never dreamed that I could live life just doing art
