Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

Photography of course is my passion, but to be more specific I love to capture the moment. I love sitting in the woods for hours waiting to see how the animals interact with one another. Listening to the hawk call as it circles overhead. Once you sit for long enough you start to notice everything communicates with each other, but not in the same way we do. They in some form all understand each other yet all compete. capturing them in the moment. When you capture true natural harmony, that’s art.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration just from being around nature my whole life. Seeing the animals interact with each other drives me to capture the natural beauty. It is so easy to overlook how magnificent the animals all around us are. So in another sense the lack of peoples understanding of nature drives me to make art. Explain to the world why nature must be protected through their beauty. I want my pictures to drive the viewer to be curious about the nature that lives around them.

What would you do with $25,000?

Some of it would go towards college. I have recently committed to Otterbein University for zoology and conservation, putting some towards college I believe would help tremendously. On top of my love for nature, I of course love photography too and I want people to learn the art. Sadly my school was forced to remove our photography program due to budget constraints and I would donate most of the money to help them restart their program so more young men and women can learn just as I did.
