Mixed media abstract would have to be my favorite type of art to make because it requires a deeper explanation and understanding to what the artist is trying to convey and grants a deeper connection with the viewer. We all have struggles within ourselves; art is how I choose to interpret mine for others to understand.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration for art comes from life; the struggles, the joy, the sadness and everything that life brings. Sometimes the inspiration comes from something as simple as a rock on the beach, a smile from a stranger or a cloud in the sky, the roots of trees, and even lightning. Inspiration is everywhere and in everything. It’s up to you to channel it and transform it.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000 I would upgrade my art space, supplies, get housing and be able to start a stable life, especially with getting sober and making a fresh start. When I was a student behavior advisor I found that art can help everyone with processing everything that life challenges us with. Doesn’t matter if you’re 5 or 90 art speaks all languages.
