I feel as if I was put on this earth to create art. I’ve been creating art since my earliest memories. Art is everything to me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create oil paintings the most. Painting gives me satisfaction and a release. It is so satisfying when my brush touches the canvas and my imagination is brought to life. My work incorporates the mind and involves imagery subjective to the experiences of my own perspective. I’m currently working on a series of paintings that has to do with psychoanalysis and provides a map to navigating our conscious.
Where do you find inspiration?I’ve always had difficulty in finding words. My art has given me a way to express myself when words and emotions couldn’t for as long as I can remember. It’s my inability to properly express myself and the desire to understand where that comes from that drives me. My ultimate goal is to provide an understanding for other people who are struggling to learn and grow into a better version of themselves.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would use it to take time away from work to paint.
