Creating art allows me to transform internal complexity into tangible storytelling, engaging people with my own unique take on the universe
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favourite form of art is creating characters by combining traditional sculpting with the exciting digital tools we artists have access to nowadays. I love creating a physical manifestation of a story brought to life through a seamless marriage of tactile history and digital innovation. My passion lies in breathing life into creatures that feel grounded in reality yet exist beyond the veil of the ordinary, utilizing a workflow that mirrors the complexity of my own neurodivergent mind.
Where do you find inspiration? To me, inspiration is not a bolt of lightning; it is a constant, ambient frequency that my neurodivergent mind is permanently tuned to. I find that my autistic hyper-focus and ADHD act like a specialized filter, allowing me to see potential where others see detritus or silence. My creative spark is ignited by the friction between the mundane and the mythological.
What would you do with $25,000?These funds would ease my anxiety with some financial relief. I would then use those funds to purchase a high-quality 3D printer that would enable me to transition from "one-off" creations to a "limited-edition" model. This shift would allow me to maintain the integrity of my art while making it accessible to a much broader audience of collectors. I would be able to share more of my unusual ideas with a broader audience in hopes of spreading more much-needed whimsy and joy to the world.
