Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I’ve dabbled I’m a few different mediums but the one that speaks to me the most is my wire tree art. It’s 3 dimensional and abstract that can’t be duplicated. It’s an expression of my creativity like in nature, beautiful and never duplicated. And the good thing is there is no limit to what type of tree I create. I can push myself to do something different and more creative and still make something beautiful.

Where do you find inspiration?

As a child I’ve always been fascinated by big beautiful trees. Some trees don’t last for ever so creating my own, allows us to enjoy them for a lifetime. I view trees as a birth of a persons life growing out of the ground. We develop roots and as we grow we have these branches that symbolize journeys and challenges that can take us far but at the end of the day we still have our roots(our family) to help remind us who we are.

What would you do with $25,000?

Winning this money would give the inspiration to expand my creativity. To follow my dreams and create more art that I enjoy. It would also show my kids that pushing yourself, to express yourself creatively, can open doors to be yourself and live a love they’ve always wanted. I would build myself and proper workshop so I can be more efficient. I can enter art shows and show my community my talents and then I can expand my creativity to different mediums that I enjoy too
