I distill the chaos until only a pulse remains, unmasking the secret geometry of a petal or the radiant solitude of a horizon. By embracing the 'small scene' and vast, open space, I attempt to anchor the viewer in a breath of pure peace. My work seeks a profound, peaceful, and joyful visual experience of the subject.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in life experiences, nature and ideas sparked by matters of the moment. Inspiration for me is a dialogue between history and the environment. I find it in the stark silence of a Vermont winter and the atmospheric light of North Carolina. I am moved by how time marks the earth—from the texture of a bird’s plumage to the quiet, fleeting geometry of a minimalist landscape.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 would allow me to prepare, pursue, produce, and promote my passion for photography as a fine art medium to preserve the essence of the compositions. These funds will launch an expedition to document diverse subjects and themes, infusing an emotive sense into my work. I will produce museum-grade, large-format prints with archival framing to ensure the longevity of each piece. Finally, I will promote this vision through a premium art book and gallery showcase to inspire contemplation.
