I was born with the compulsion to create. I communicate through my work in a personal language I hope others will want to understand.

I work as a craftsperson, drawn to wood and fabric. I gravitate toward a contemporary folk art vernacular where the maker’s hand remains visible. I pursue subtlety over spectacle, allowing materials to guide form and meaning. The work unfolds quietly, inviting inquiry. For me, simplicity is a sophisticated act.
Where do you find inspiration?I am perpetually inspired by handcrafted “outsider” folk toys, a fascination I’ve had since my teens. Their humility and immediacy inform my use of play as an entry point. The disarming accessible language of "toys" invites viewers in, then opens onto deeper social narratives. Play is not naïve; it is a deliberate strategy for viewer engagement.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in the expansion of my practice through time and study. While needed tools would improve my craft & precision, I’d rather invest in a one- to two-month artist's residency focused on advanced wood fabrication. This concentrated period would refine technique and deepen the rigor of my materially driven work, integrating my folk artist sensibilities with cutting edge "fab lab" production technology. This would enable me to produce affordable collectable contemporary folk art.
