I’m drawn to the themes of life, death, and rebirth. Portraits and nature feel like the only subjects that express those ideas in a way that feels real to me. When I draw people or the world around them, I’m trying to capture the cycle I see in everything — change, loss, and renewal.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspirations come from life. I look to the world for them, and my mind blends what I see into new forms that my eyes and hands try to bring into reality. There is so much beauty in the people, nature, and everyday moments I get to witness, and that beauty becomes the starting point for everything I create.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would invest in the tools and space I need to explore my themes of life, death, and rebirth more deeply. I would use part of it for art supplies, classes, and equipment that help me grow as an artist and bring my vision to life. I would also donate a portion to a garden in my city that inspires many of my drawings. Supporting that space matters to me because it’s a place where I study people, nature, and the beauty of everyday life — the same things that shape my work.
