I randomly began create’n an Easter bonnet durin’ COVID fer my 2nd great niece on a whim when I stopped at the Dollar Tree fer somethin’ to keep my mind busy. So many people commented on it that it stuck and have created a new one fer her fer the past 5 years. Then when ever I was invited to parties or holiday gather’ns I started make’n new ones fer each occasion.
Where do you find inspiration?All of my hats are created 90% from items I’ve found randomly at any given Dollar Tree. I start with the thought in my mind what color scheme and design I’m try’n to achieve then head to the Dollar Tree and scour the store fer most of items. The other 10% is either from Michael’s or a Goodwill store. They take roughly 2/3 weeks to complete from start to finish.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won the grand prize I would definitely start my dream job create’n one-of-a-kind hats fer whatever occasion fer whomever in my store called THE MATTRESS HATTER.
