A portrait of a person, landscape, or a flower, I’m genuinely in love with flowers, haha. I adore painting both outdoors, en plein air, and in the studio. The subject often suggests the style I go with. Abstract art, in particular, speaks to me because it pushes me to get out of my head and just feel, allowing the brush to guide me.
Where do you find inspiration?I love roads that lead to adventure and the moon will inevitably show up in a piece I paint. Light in nature or how light falls on a subject or shape inspires me. Flowers, people, emotions and moments in time. Art, music, fashion, gardens, dance, flamenco especially all inspire me. Photography and films inspire me. There is no end to beautiful inspiration in the world.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd rent an art studio to create the larger pieces that have been on my mind. I'd gather supplies and let my creativity flow. I work in my small apartment, so a bigger space would be amazing. Caregiving for my mom for the past eight years has impacted my finances, so having the means to explore all my creative ideas would be fantastic.
