I love to create art that connects to the inner child and creates an emotional resonance. I love it when people tell me the memories or emotions that my art brought up for them. As someone who has also trained in healing arts, my favorite type of visual art is the kind that heals or sparks something within the heart.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life. I love the little simple rituals of everyday life, the little things that get us through the day. That could be relationships with nature, with family, friends and even ourselves. I find inspiration in everyday moments of tenderness and intimacy. Sometimes I feel hopeless about the state of the world and my art is one of the only things that actually helps me to snap out of that feeling and into a higher frequency.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this money to fund and sustain my art practice. I pray to be painting well into my old age, god willing. I would like to use some of it to create new merchandise that can allow my art to be accessible to lower price points. I would also donate a portion of the money towards supplies for children in vulnerable situations in the world because at this stage of things we owe them everything.
