I paint my raw feelings into tangible surfaces. By layering paint, I transform internal chaos into a quiet, visible dialogue.

My favorite type of art to create has evolved over time. I began drawing portraits in pencil as a child, then moved into ink work with cross-hatching during my teenage years. In the past couple of years, I’ve explored painting, and acrylic has become my favorite medium, it allows me to express and translate my emotions in a way that feels most natural.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from life, especially the parts marked by loss and grief. During my time as a mortician, I faced death every day and learned to bury my emotions. It wasn’t until I picked up a brush that those feelings began to emerge. Painting became both a release and a spiritual experience, allowing me to process and understand myself. I draw inspiration from within, shaped by the life I’ve lived and the paths I’ve taken.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would bring stability to my family and ease the constant pressure of financial strain. It would allow me to invest in my own growth and commit fully to my path as an artist. I’d use it to build a foundation and have the tools ready for whatever the future holds.
