I take photos that make you think: I wish you were here. Coastal Maine, quiet ponds, city corners no one else seems to notice.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Photography in every form. I love capturing landscapes, architecture, botanicals, animals, coastal scenes. But self-portraits are where I get the most creative freedom. They let me concept, direct, and shoot entirely on my own terms, which opens up more artistic and thematic work that I can’t always do with other subjects.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere I wasn’t expecting it. A pond off a back road in Millis. A narrow alley in Boston at the wrong time of day. The Maine coast at sunset when the rocks turn colors they have no business being. I find it by showing up. I’m not waiting for the perfect conditions, I’m going and seeing what’s there.
What would you do with $25,000?Invest it directly into MDCCo, my photography business. New gear, studio time, and the runway to stop taking bridge jobs and shoot full time. I started this to build something real. The $25k would compress years of grinding into a real foundation.
