Art has always held a profound significance in my life. I create artwork that incorporates my indigenous heritage, is rooted in my culture.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My preferred type of artwork is creating fine Contemporary pieces that not only incorporate my indigenous heritage but also have a deep meaning behind every creation.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration rooted in my indigenous culture, and my family. I am also inspired by people around me who uplift and encourage me to keep growing, not just as a artist but as a person. Their support pushes me to keep creating with such a deep meaning.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to give back by creating accessible art and holding space for others in my community to connect through creativity, culture, and healing. Representation matters, and I want my work to be something that younger generations can see themselves in and feel proud of. This opportunity would not only support my growth as an artist, but help me carry forward the stories, strength, and beauty of my culture in a meaningful and lasting way.
