Ever since I could hold a pencil I've been making art. My goal has always been the same: to inspire people and somehow change the world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to make combines reality with the surreal and abstract. I often draw and paint realistic portraits of people and animals while adding fantastical elements that inspire awe and thought-provoking philosophical or moral questions. I love drawing my favorite celebrities, including Johnny Depp! I have a strong passion for both 2D and stop motion animation, which also combines reality with whimsy. I have many projects in the works that will challenge norms and spread awareness.
Where do you find inspiration? One thing that makes me unique is that I find inspiration from everything. I can find something positive or beautifully dark in any setting and situation. I find my inspiration wherever I am. If I don't see anything inspiring, I find my own inspiration from within, or from a spiritual perspective. I am also inspired by humans who go above and beyond to help others, as that is my goal with my art.
What would you do with $25,000?I truly do feel that I am "The People's Artist" because I make art for the people. I would use $25,000 to jump start a creativity center for children and disabled adults. I have dreamt of using art and music to help others since I was a little girl! I deal with OCD and PTSD among other mental health issues, and I want to inspire children who were like me - lost, confused, and just trying to find their way in this world - to express themselves to their full potential.
