What is your favorite type of art to create?

I’m a mixed-media artist driven by the intersection of my background in fashion and my love for the obscure. My favorite work involves layering high-fashion magazine pages with metallic paint that I "bake" using a heat tool to create a bubbled, distressed texture. This process allows me to explore my two alter egos: one side happy and orderly, the other dark and edgy. By blending pop culture, animals, & spiritual imagery, I create pieces meant to awaken the subconscious & invoke self-awareness.

Where do you find inspiration?

My inspiration comes from the intersection of my modeling background and a deep fascination with the obscure. I’m heavily influenced by pop culture, fashion, and music, but I also tap into spiritual and animal imagery to create meaning. My work is a manifestation of my two alter egos: one colorful and orderly, the other dark, edgy, and distressed. Whether I’m playing with chemicals and textures to create an antique look or "baking" paint into bubbles, I create to awaken the subconscious.

What would you do with $25,000?

With $25,000, I would establish a permanent home for my two passions: mixed-media art and female empowerment. I’d open a dedicated gallery space to showcase emerging local talent, giving other creatives the same visibility I sought when founding Bevie. This location would also serve as the official headquarters for Girl Flock Party, providing a professional sanctuary for our women’s network to connect, mentor, and grow, while rooting my studio practice firmly within the Austin art community.
