I create art to explore mental health, identity, and belonging, making visible the often stigmatized realities of women’s lives.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create impressions of the world around me to express what’s within, often exploring tension and contradiction. I’m drawn to printmaking and photography, especially relief processes like linocut and woodcut, monotypes, and alternative process photography.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by the fractured and contradictory, both within and around me. Living in a “nowhere-native” space, I’m drawn to discomfort, tension, and the truths embedded in culture and identity.
What would you do with $25,000?I would pursue an MFA to continue to develop as an artist committed to thoughtful, engaged practice and support initiatives that center mental health and women’s voices.
