I create art because I need to... it helps me put onto paper or canvas what I can't put words to, my heart and soul. Art is life.

Ink on paper is probably my favorite, with a brush or a pen... or a stick even. I often use charcoal or acrylic on canvas... or even a mixture of all of the above. I dabble in watercolor as well. I also tattoo. My imagery ranges from figures to landscapes to abstract. Sometimes I have a plan and a concept... sometimes the art comes out of the moment I am painting in, surprising even me. I love when my art leaves an impression on someone, good or bad... it made them feel something.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature is a huge inspiration. Emotions brought out by social interactions and our society/culture also have inspired my work. Capturing the light and how it falls and creates what we see is a recurring theme in my work too.
What would you do with $25,000?Make more art!!!! Be able to support myself and my boys with my art, showing my kids you can pursue your passion... the struggle is worth it when you are doing the thing that you love. $25,000 would change my life.
