Creating art is the way I put my feelings into action. Sometimes words just aren’t enough and art lets you celebrate, cry and create.

I love photography especially when you find subject matter that moves you. The photo collection I’m submitting is called The Flames of Poverty. The fire pit was constructed out of cinder blocks that had been used as a foundation for a child’s bed, the background is a tattered fence, the wood came from a gentleman who sells wood to try to make ends meet and the boxes were found online used on Facebook. The boxes were added in interesting patterns to make the photos more intense.
Where do you find inspiration?I have had a complicated journey of abuse and addiction. Through time in nature, music and art I have found healing. My art reflects both the pain, the triumph and life after tragedy.
What would you do with $25,000?I would go get lost in Ireland for a week or two. Find inspiration and something new to create and give my kids the experience of a life time.
