I make art because sometimes words aren’t enough. It’s how I process life, survive my hardest days, and communicate what I can’t explain.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite kind of art to create is rooted in the ideas I think in my head that I can’t express into words. I communicate best through the art I create and rooted in emotion and feeling even if it doesn’t come out they way or polished the way society expects it to be.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the real, unfiltered parts of life—especially the ones most people avoid talking about. It comes from my own experiences with mental health, identity, and navigating a world that hasn’t always made me feel seen. Even when I’m outside, it’s those quiet, in-between moments.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I wouldn’t take it for granted.I’d use it to rebuild after everything I’ve been through: being wrongfully terminated, struggling to make a sustainable living from my art. Then losing my place while still trying to stay grounded in my purpose. This support would give me the stability to secure housing, invest in my creative business, and create consistent income through my art and design work. It will give me the chance to move forward from survival mode.
