Creating art lets me turn emotion into something tangible—capturing beauty, telling stories, and making others feel something real.

I’m most drawn to creating landscape-inspired work that captures a sense of calm, nostalgia, and connection to place. My pieces are often rooted in the Finger Lakes—soft skies, still water, quiet moments in nature. I also love working beyond the canvas, designing large-scale installations and window displays that bring art into physical spaces in an immersive, unexpected way.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the quiet beauty of everyday moments—early morning light on the lake, changing seasons, and the feeling of being grounded in a place. Living near the Finger Lakes deeply influences my work. I’m also inspired by storytelling, memory, and the emotional connection people have to spaces, which carries through both my paintings and installations.
What would you do with $25,000?I would transform a small space behind my home into a warm, light-filled studio - a place that feels both personal and shared. Right now, I create in my basement, and while it works, it lacks the openness and energy I want to offer others. This studio would allow me to gather people for intimate workshops, creating a space where art becomes a way to connect, slow down, and feel part of something meaningful.
