I love to create artworks that are beautiful, deeply meaningful, and whimsical at the same time.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I have always been an artist, but I am most drawn to metals, with a primary focus on lost wax cast bronze sculpture. My teachers could see early on that I was a 3D thinker, and that helped guide me to focus on sculpture.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere! My inspiration comes from so many places; art history, cultural studies, mythology, starlore (archeaoastronomy), mathematics, alchemy, astrology, tarot. All these point to my keen interest in archetypes. The trick for me is to decide which thoughts are going to become things. I have millions ideas but I can only create one thing at a time if it's going to be any good.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to establish a sculpture studio and homebase.
