I create documentary and human-centered photography that captures truth, culture, and emotion. My favorite work focuses on people, everyday life, and untold stories. I’m drawn to street photography, portraits, and visual storytelling that preserves identity and gives voice to overlooked communities. My art blends culture, history, and human connection. I create to document real life and show beauty, resilience, and meaning through honest moments.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in people, culture, and everyday life. Growing up in Ghana and living in America allows me to see different worlds and human experiences. I’m inspired by children, elders, community stories, African heritage, spirituality, music, and real emotions. Inspiration comes from observing struggle, hope, resilience, and connection. My camera helps me turn ordinary moments into meaningful stories that remind people they matter.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to expand my photography and storytelling work through Eyes of Hope. The funding would help me purchase equipment, create documentary projects, print exhibitions, and tell stories from underrepresented communities. I would also mentor youth interested in photography and provide creative opportunities for learning. This support would allow me to preserve culture, inspire healing, and use art to create social impact.
