I create to connect. Art isn’t just about paint to me. It’s about community and the growing passion for human experience.

Impressionism really calls to me. I love using paints to create texture, color relationships, and energy. With this, I create landscapes, portraits, and narratives. When I paint, I’m not just capturing the moment, I’m capturing my own perspective, creating a mark, and making stories with others. My favorite part about making art is the community that comes with it. It’s never just about the painting, but rather who looks, shares, and creates their own distinct memory with my art.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration wherever my eyes follow, especially forms and shapes that seem like a portal or opening. For example, I am captured by arches and entrances to parks and nature preserves. My eyes are always looking out for frame-like compositions— Human made and nature made.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would be able to help boost my art career by getting a studio and furniture to work comfortably. I’d invest into materials especially paints! With my studio, I’d engage my community with events, classes, and more. My artistic passion is limitless and wants to create more with others. I live my city, Chicago, and I want to share my passion for art with them.
