I make whimsical, nautical themed acrylic paintings on wood that showcase mermaids and marine life. I have a bit of wood finishing training and I transferred those skills into my fine art. My mermaids are all real people, some Army veterans, family and friends. I also enjoy sharing fun scientific facts about the creatures I platform!
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by the ocean's diversity. I feel like underwater creatures are alien like and am fascinated with mythical lore! On a more serious note, I work to bring awareness that all life on earth has value and should be protected.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this money to invest: 1) 5k donation to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue in North Carolina 2) Upgrade to sustainably sourced art materials like paint &varnish 3) Much needed lighting for better photos 4) Launch a strong social media campaign as I recently relocated 5) Video editing instruction for upcoming Art YouTube Channel
