My favorite type of art to create is mixed media. Specifically Canvas with spray paint/Acrylic and other paint. I like to paint faces of people or Characters that I am emotionally drawn to. I also enjoy painting abstract pieces/landscapes and such. I find a lot of joy in repurposing old Art and using items that others may have thrown out. I find it bro gs life back to the original creation.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration is rooted in my time spent in New Orleans while I was working. I felt a pull to begin to create. Once I began the process was so natural. I started with houses in the French Quarter and ultimately it became a very peaceful time during an extremely chaotic time in my life. I found peace in the process. My inspiration also comes from my struggles with addiction and mental health. Painting and the creative process heals my inner self and through the Art individuals see me the real me
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the 25k to start the process of opening a studio here in Lake Worth Beach. A studio that is centered around the community…a hands on studio where people can come in and explore their creative side. We need more public places like this these days and this would be a great start to getting this into motion.
