Mixed media collage. Large scale, social conscious, politically motivated, cut and paste with scissors & glue not photoshop. I enjoy the process of finding imagery & creating a scene while changing the context of each picture. I was originally making collages with words to paint my pictures. A fellow artist sugguested using pictures instead of words to convey my message. words only tell so much. If a picture is worth a 1,000 words, what are a 1,000 pictures worth?

I find inspiration in the world around me. There is a lot of stuff going on in the world that isn't right. I believe if my art can start a conversation that needs to be had...about war, world hunger, money, the meat and military industries, climate change, education, censorship, the list goes on and on. If I can engage people with my art, to get them to stop and think and open a dialogue about it, then I am succeeding with my objective. I'm inspired to change the world one art piece at a time.

I would take some time off from my 9-5 job and dig deep into creating art full time. I would make sure the bills are paid and the fridge is stocked and then I would put all my energy into creating. As it is now, I make art on my weekends as time allows. Being able to create without restriction or constraints, without having to worry about rent would be a godsend. My fiance is an artist as well and we have a vision of having an art show and getting married in the middle of it.
