I draw and paint to see what I imagine in the 3 dimensional world. And I illustrate so that others can see what THEY imagine through my eyes

My first love was, and still is, designing and drawing cars. I think of a grille treatment, a roofline, a wheel design, and I must see it. So I draw it. I have hundreds. I also love nudes in unusual lighting. I'm prolific. My Homoerotic art allows me to challenge myself by tackling the most demanding subject, the human form, and lighting it in unusual ways...an up-light, the soft glow of a cellphone. My command of anatomy allows me to work largely without models. I also love the quick sketch.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the work of masters like Syd Mead & Art Fitzpatrick. Tom of Finland & Paul Cadmus were also early influences. Sometimes I use photos of my friends. When commissioned by a client, I find their likes and experiences activating. And subway ads are often fodder. Solving thorny design and composition problems aesthetically inspires me most of all.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd create a fund to immediately help my family. And I'd buy a better life insurance plan to assist them when I'm gone. I'd fly to Chicago (with gifts) for my niece's wedding. Maybe buy a new suit. Then I'd place the rest of the money in 2 plans: a regular savings account and a conservative investment plan. The kind with penalties for early withdrawal. I'm now the patriarch of my family, so I'd create financial conditions to buttress that position. To help be someone my loved ones can depend on.
