My severe vision impairment and other struggles lead me to use my hands as my eyes more often than not art is something tangible to me.

Sculpture and Three Dimensional Paintings are a true Passion for me as they are tactile Media and play to my strengths as an artist struggling with Blindness. I can use my Hands to express myself as much if no more than my Eye. But not having a proper Studio these days I tend towards Collage and I always have a soft spot for Acrylic on Canvas and delve in everything Abstract Symbolism.
Where do you find inspiration? As an Artist living with HIV and having survive AIDS, I draw my inspirations from a lust for Life, Socio-Political themes, Irreverent Humor and the Colorism/Abstract Symbolism explored by the Artists of the 1920’s movement, Der Blaue Reiter. Eyes and Hands are a big influence in my Painting and Pop Culture, skewering Sacred Cows and Pop Culture References are a passion in my Collage Works.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to finale my current Project of creating a Collectible Card Game, Mobile App, Graphic Novel and Animated TV Series chronicling the zany exploits of my almost 30 Characters I’ve already created, entitled: Food Crimes & Fugitives. Each Artwork is sight gag and the project is designed to holistically display a narrative that expands within each Media. I want players of my Game to read the Graphic Novel to know my Characters beyond the Cards breathing Life to them in their Mind’s Eye.
