I’ve created since childhood—sculpting, drawing, chasing imagination. Life knocked me down, but The Nightmare Before Christmas reignited me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is a blend of storytelling and expression. I love creating characters for children’s books and experimenting with stop animation. I’m also inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas, exploring its dark, whimsical style. But most of all, I love drawing trees—they’re my therapy, where I can relax, reflect, and truly connect with my creativity.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life, memories, and imagination. Nature, especially trees, gives me calm and clarity. Films like The Nightmare Before Christmas spark my love for dark, whimsical worlds. My children inspire my storytelling, pushing me to create characters and ideas they can connect with. Even quiet moments become creative fuel when I let my mind wander.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I’d invest in my art and future. I’d upgrade my workspace, buy quality materials, and explore stop animation equipment. I’d publish and promote my children’s books, build a stronger online presence, and create more time to focus on my craft. I’d also set aside some savings to support stability, allowing me to keep creating without distraction.
