I create art because I enjoy making and thinking things into reality. I can communicate with others beyond words through this practice.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is mixed media work that combines painting and collage. I enjoy building layered, immersive spaces where the human figure exists in harmony with its surroundings. Drawing from personal experiences and cultural and spiritual influences, I create surreal environments that feel both introspective and expansive. I’m especially drawn to making pieces that evoke a sense of peace or transcendence, while leaving the narrative open for viewers to interpret in their way.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life experiences, especially the environments I encounter while traveling. I carry those places back with me into the studio as memories, along with a sense of curiosity that sparks the creative process. Exploring different cultures and their art forms often compels me to respond through my own work. I’m also deeply inspired by art history and its connection to the natural and spiritual world.
What would you do with $25,000?With a $25,000 prize, I would invest in expanding my studio practice while giving back to the community. I’d purchase materials and equipment to push my work further. I’d also collaborate with local organizations to create community-based art projects, fostering creative expression, cultural exchange, and access to the arts for a wider audience in hopes to reach a variety of people internationally.
