I create art to escape in hopes of connecting to the beholder. In doing so, I hope to share my experience to brighten the eye of the viewer.

If you create it then it is art. How can there be different types of art when it is created by hand. Art is art! I have been told I am an AbEx artist but I like to attempt to just be an artist.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from my family on my mother's side, my personal experiences, my interaction with others and my inner feelings and emotions. I started this journey when I was twenty nine not thinking anything of it; yet as I kept going forward I soon realized I could put my expression behind the color or my smile in the tone. I soon realized I was becoming apart of what I call art and that art was becoming apart of me.
What would you do with $25,000?I would split the $25,000 into ten categories and share the money with those who need it. The true vision of art is not what you see but is the message that you walk away with. This money would be that message! I would donate a portion to my child's long term saving account, I would donate a portion to my best friend who I grew up with; who is scraping by. I would give back to the art center who gave me my first solo art residency, I would just give! I would give back with this money!
