I'm a multi-media artist who just loves to be creative using any medium available.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art depends on my mood and what's going on in my life. I enjoy creating in all mediums, from sewing Renaissance, pirate and gypsy costumes to making jewelry. My artwork includes works created using colored pencils and paints on canvas to confectionary arts creating custom special occasion gourmet cakes and chocolates. I'm also a poet/songwriter/singer.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the world around me, in nature, music, and in my imagination. Growing up in a small town before the Internet, my imagination was my escape and it fuels my creativity to this day. I love everything whimsical and creating pieces that bring people joy.
What would you do with $25,000?I would open a shop to not only sell art and jewelry making supplies, but also have the space to teach. I've already taught cake decorating, jewelry making, basic painting and even dance, and would love to do it full-time. As a newly certified grief coach, I would like to specialize in using art as a method of healing from traumatic life events. Art and music kept me going through the loss of both my son and husband and my goal is to help guide others through such challenging life events.
