It takes me out of my headspace & into another world. I forget my problems when I create. It keeps me out of trouble 😆
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to make is often surreal and whimsical with a twist of obscurity and darkness. I do sketches mainly but I am currently venturing to painting and sculpture work.
Where do you find inspiration?Ive found much inspiration from old cartoons like Betty Boop and Popeye. I love Jim Hensons characters and Robert Crumbs comics. H.R.Giger, Guy Aitchison along with many other surreal artists I find inspiration from. Daily life is my biggest inspiration, from happy road trips to failed relationships, it all ties in as motivator to create beauty.
What would you do with $25,000?Take a cross country trip to visit places I’ve never seen but envisioned going to like Louisiana, Colorado, Seattle and also visit Europe. I love to travel so…I would also love to donate to animal charities since I love them too.
