Every day is sunny when you smile. My art makes me smile and brings happiness to everyone. It is my therapy and creates beauty and happiness
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Abstract art filled with inspiring messages and bold, joyful colors. My art pieces are created to bring genuine smiles and happiness to everyone who sees them. I give much of my work away for free and sell the rest at accessible prices so that joy can reach as many people as possible. I also believe in helping others create art, so they may realize their creative contributions to our world are important — and to show others that they’re not alone and can make a difference.
Where do you find inspiration?Life experiences are my greatest inspiration. My creativity usually strikes spontaneously in the moment rather than from careful planning. I once taught a summer school art class to 70 children (ages 5–13) where we created murals, photography scrapbooks, and had so much fun together. Giving new life to old items also inspires me — it’s a way to create beauty while helping save the planet. Just like people who may be struggling, I believe my purpose is to inspire others to believe in themselves.
What would you do with $25,000?I would officially launch my nonprofit and expand the Women Painting Chairs Club I created. This welcoming space helps women complete meaningful projects while giving everyone — especially those who can’t afford art supplies — the chance to walk in, paint, and create. The studio walls will be filled with their artwork. All pieces will be auctioned or sold, with every dollar going back to support emerging artists and show them that their creative voice truly matters in the world.
