Creating art is the only thing that can quiet the chaos.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Painting! I love all forms of course, but there is something about being in front of my easel, paint brush in hand, and adding that very first swipe of paint! The best part, paint is forgiving, transforming, and eliminates the need for me to feel like I have to be perfect. Because in each swipe of my brush, I’m creating something that has never existed, to me that is magic.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes when I’m spending time in nature, listening to music, or just glancing at a simple over exposed photograph. It’s the shadows, the colors, the movement that inspires most of my paintings. All of my paintings are done intuitively, and free hand. I never know what the final result will be until it starts to appear before me.
What would you do with $25,000?Why is this so difficult to answer? Of course it could help me pay down some debt, I could travel, I could do so much! But this time the money would go to investing in myself, and getting a much needed surgery that is not covered by insurance. However, before that, maybe I’ll celebrate with tacos and margaritas!
