I focus on female inspired Gen X, new wave, edgy, loose paintings. I like to have a music element of post punk and new wave shown in my models fashion. I like to mix loose painting with some elements of realism. I mostly focus on creating a feeling for the viewers.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes my memories of growing up as a gen-X kid. I was a true latch key kid and I know there will never be another generation like us. Freedom, music, fashion, MTV, boombox, cd's and cassette tapes. We were wild, and free and in my experience, literally raised ourselves.
What would you do with $25,000?I would move my art studio out of my house and create a school that focuses on life drawing and painting classes. Geared towards artsy kids at the end of high school. Show them that a life in the arts can be financially rewarding and help them find their way. Share what I have learned through my 30+ years of art. Teach them how to start a business based on their creativity.
